Joanna,

If you (and other members of the watchdog comm.) feel that you should
verify each others ID then there is nothing stopping you.
You do not need Jefsey or any other member to do so, as for Thomas, I
will vouch for his existence and the others ... well suggested a few
options in my prior email.
I really think that once you do this "amongst the committee" you can
wield out those that do no comply, just let the list know, and let the
list know any final votings and conclusions, especially from those
verified.

As for verification of the candidates, I would appreciate the watchdog
committee to play an active part in that as I wrote in my mail regarding
this topic the atlarge list. Several candidates have already declared to
happily confirm with such a proposal, iow we can have a list of
"confirmed" candidates as well.
After that it is up to the membership to decide on whether they want to
believe non verified watchdogs and vote for non verified candidates, not
up to us to decide premature. With this vote the outgoing remainder of
the panel looses its alst power so why waste any energy on that.
