I have offered to do this and it still can be done to put all doubt at rest.
But Jefsey tries to forestall it by his "do you accept" mails.

With every day that passes, the result will be more cemented and of course 
most of the candidates accept a 12 months mandate. :-(

After the panel members have had a chance to prove themselves, I will run a 
fresh polling Booth election, hopefully as elected Polling Officer, but 
otherwise as a bottom-up initiative.
