RE: [atlarge-discuss] Motion 2003-9 before the Panel

JFC,

The motion is before the panel to CREATE a members-announcment mailing
list, my wording may have not been clear to a non-native English
speaker, but read the Motions before the Panel before correcting
someone. Your past "Polling Committee" is now defunct, and I personally
thank you and the others for attempting to initiate the most current
past election process, and there is another Motion before the Panel to
do that as well I believe. Regardless, it is time for whatever "List"
you have to be passed to the Panel-elect, the "person with the most
votes" was I believe according to your statistics, Joop T.... So, this
race is running and the baton must be passed to the next runner... Give
it up and take a well earned rest. I agree that when it is passed to
the new Panel that it should go to all and not just one, or perhaps to a
new Webmaster and/or Membership Committee chairperson.

If you so desire, you may also send me a complete list and I will add it
to the Customer Relation Management package I just got from Microsoft
and test the software with it to see if it will be suitable for a
Membership Relations Mgmt. application as well....

Sincerely,

Jeff Holt

Dear Jeff,
The motion you quote is erroneous on many points.
1. there is not such a thing as an members-annouce list I know of. May
ba
at icannatlarge;com?
2. there is no list that Bruce Young and me are holding alone, there is
a
list Eric, Bruce and me are holding as Polling Committee Members.
3. there is not list that we held without member authorization. The
Polling
Committee Memebers hold a list by unanimous decision of the former
Panel.
4. there is no Panel Member and no Panel Member having collected the
most
vote but me, if the election we run is not accepted by the new Panelist
(only one refused his own results)..

We politely voted a motion to welcome the new Panel. I note the hurting
wording used in return.
I am epecting:
1. a motion by the Panelists to globally accept the vote and to thank us

for the accomplished work.
2. a motion by the Panelists to call for the election of a new Polling
Committee.
3. once that Polling Committee has been elected under our control, the
current clean list will be transmitted to that Polling Committee.

I note that I received the raw list as a Panelist, because an unanious
vote
of the Panel. If I am to transfer it to a Member of the Panel I will
certainly stick to my own demand and I will send it to every member of
the
Panel.

Organizing takes time.
