Walter,

With all respect, as a (hopefully) bottom-up organization, I 
disagree with your feelings. Of course there should be some
limits to what a group of members can force on the atlarge,
but until we have those written in our bylaws/charter, this
type of movement is appropriate and I personally welcome it.
