[atlarge-discuss] Another lawsuit against ICANN, to stop WLS

Below I'm passing a message from George K to the atlarge.
Things are starting to heat up over the WLS. Should the
atlarge form an opinion and voice it to various organizations?

For? Against? Why?

Hugh

as well as some press coverage at:

I find it odd that Mary Hewitt of ICANN would be telling the press "if
I don't get it, I don't pay any money", as there are no refunds if a
WLS slot fails to get a name. Also, Verisign's spokesperson describing
some individuals as "professional scalpers" was cute. I'd be curious
what colourful language he'd employ to describe P&G's usage of
Beautiful.com, especially if they won't sell me the domain for $35...

Given Verisign's ownership of GreatDomains.com, what would that make
them (besides hypocrites)??

Sincerely,

George Kirikos
