RE: [atlarge-discuss] Another lawsuit against ICANN, to stop WLS

As some might remember I was quite active on this front together with
George, however since this matter has past all stations where we have
(in)direct influence we can do little but look on and see what is
happening, unless someone has the resources to go for a lawsuit.

If there were any political options open you could rest assured that the
registrars "hit" by this unhealthy VGRS monopoly would have taken that
course as well.

We could however dedicate a webpage to the "news" on this, blog style,
and with opinions and history, but that would only be a very nice active
reference point.

I find it odd that Mary Hewitt of ICANN would be telling the press "if I
don't get it, I don't pay any money", as there are no refunds if a WLS
slot fails to get a name. Also, Verisign's spokesperson describing some
individuals as "professional scalpers" was cute. I'd be curious what
colourful language he'd employ to describe P&G's usage of Beautiful.com,
especially if they won't sell me the domain for $35...

Given Verisign's ownership of GreatDomains.com, what would that make
them (besides hypocrites)??
