At the request of 20 of its Member States, WIPO has initiated a Second
WIPO Internet Domain Name Process, to address certain issues that
remained outstanding after the Organization issued its Final Report in
April 1999.  For further information about the Second Process, please

The first request for comments (WIPO2 RFC1), on the scope of the
issues to be addressed in the Second Process, can be found at
http://wipo2.wipo.int/process2/index.html

Please note that, contrary to what is indicated in the WIPO
announcement which you have  received earlier today (and in the RFC
attached to that announcement), the deadline for comments on the first
RFC of the Second WIPO Internet Domain Name Process is September 15,
2000.  The overall timetable for the Process will be adjusted
accordingly and you will be informed of these changes in due course.
