I agree. This is why I think it would really be strategically important to
form some sort of alliance with the ccTLDs, rather than accepting to compete
with them for the remaining four seats. We are big and can possibly get
support from the press and the basic community, but we have no direct power
yet; on the other hand, they have the power of undermining ICANN, but have
no appeal otherwise. So we could really try to coordinate a set of requests
with them, to our mutual advantage.
