I agree. I also find it unfortunate that so many non-German candidates
have corporate backgrounds and that the bulk of independent/"hacker"
candidates comes from Germany, too. Voting for Guylhem Aznar (for
example) might be a solution, but again I find Jeanette's application most
convincing because she puts the political issues of the ICANN so up front.

At least I can assure you that not only Jeanette's written English is very
good; her spoken English is truly excellent. Of all German candidates she
thus seems to me the most international and multicultural. (This is also one
of my major arguments on my web site.)

If you refer to the URL I gave, please note that it's not at all "her site".
(Her own site <http://duplox.wz-berlin.de/people/jeanette.html> is
bilingual.) My web page was spontaneously created as a personal opinion
piece, and then it has been perceived as something bigger than it was
supposed to be. I promise to fix the 'language bug' ASAP, possibly today.
