I agree.

This will definitively bring an image of higher coordination and avoid the
nightmare of registering a dozen icann-xxx.org, half of them may be already
registered at time of writing by somebody that would like to sell them to us
;>).

The hard part is to figure out the collaboration between ICANN and us.
To have the list of members is, IMHO, out of the question.
To have the members polled (or, less effectively, to have a statement on
ICANN's site) may be a policy decision that ICANN would not like to make
while the election is still going on.

Maybe we have to rely on the media that have done such a good job so far
;>).

About the "local" lists, Jefsay has shown the way.
For Italy, my guess is that Vittorio and Stefano are the best placed for
starting it. Vittorio has the site that was used to sensibilize Italians to
vote, and Stefano has the NIC behind.

Another possibility is to contact the members of the MITF (Membership
Implementation Task Force), but this may also be considered unfair while
elections are ongoing (we may improperly use some information, and they
themselves may be bound to some non-disclosure on the channels used to
recruit members).

Roberto
