Well Alf, I hate to say it, but you have just revealed yourself. The
best definition of the internet that I know of is "a network of networks".

Agreed here Alf. But that coordination can take many different forms.
the ICANN model is a centralized form. That is not desirable or
wise. We are in fact seeing the results of it's failure as ICANN
progresses itself into chaos gradually...

Of course. And Jim is not suggesting otherwise.... However ICANN
is suggesting something different that is controlled by large company
interests.
