Jefsey,
As you have noticed Andrew finds these concerns 'silly".
I have pointed out the inconsistency each time I had f2f access to the
Board, but they (Esther Dyson lastly) have simply acknowledged that it is a
(minor) problem and told the expatriate citizens of the world to live with it.

I reported the forced diversion to my area of residence to
<atlarge@icann.org> in this way:
>> Bug 2: After Login I want to ask a question from my European Candidate.

and after some more correspondence she suggested that I change my details
(residency , I suppose) myself through the user interface.
This is a 'workaround' that I don't like.
The other workaround option would be the one that Andrew suggests, to ask
someone else to ask your questions.
This would make a sustained dialogue pretty hard.
Also, not much use if those whom I would like to ask have not yet received
their PIN. :-(
Perhaps somebody from this forum would volunteer to relay for me?
I think, for your press release, Andrews' admittance of the existence of
the iron curtains on the At Large Q&A site and Esther's reply at the
Yokohama meeting should be enough.
>From my side, I will try to make a feature out of the bug and ask some
questions from the Asian candidates.
In fact I would like to hear their opinion on this very point.
After all, we have quite a few expatriate members living in this region.
Perhaps Esther would like to see the emergence of a new and angry
"constituency" of expatriates within the At L community.
Perhaps she realizes the very special role the Internet plays for
expatriates.
