Heard very late about the ICANN-affairs, though I'm really interested in
democratic activities on the net.
But it seems, that it (the ICANN) not really means democratic rules: the
elections under Milosevic were it rather.
The fact, that Andy M. was elected may be both: good, cause he is a good
man for this, on the other side will the pseudo-democratic ICANN be
accepted: the way, Milosevic got Vuk Draskovic into his government shows,
how to get rid of critical votes.
Though I will not claim Andy to be like Draskovic.
Have we so really to accept this election and this ICANN and their
procedures of manipulation ?
Have we to accept, that the US-Government is the last instance behind the
ICANN ? Why not to establish one root-server in the EU, and maybe one more
in Africa, Asia and Australia ?
