Do you have the ability to work as part of a "team" effort - or not ?

If you do - then you are aleady aware that your personal satisfaction 
and approval are not a priority -  and not required for a successful 
team effort

If you don't .....

then your removal is necessary for team success whether you agree to 
step down or not
