I cannot confirm or deny such a declaration, Judyth. I doubt that you can either.
Hence I am quite surprised that you made it here.

I can say that most organizations of this size that I have been associated with,
worked with, been a member of, or served in various capacities have just such
or similar structure.

In a highly structured organization, this would be true. Usually that same
Treasurer is the Sr member of the Finance Committee, and would also
sit in on the Funding Committee. However there are and I have experienced
a number of variations on this structure theme. To keep it simple, as you
posted about earlier, It would seem that we need to have a less structured
approach, hence a Finance and funding committee with a Hired Treasurer
as I suggested, be implemented. Of course unless or until we have some
funding that Treasurer will need to work for free, or we will need some
"Seed Capital" by which to fund this and other hired positions.

Usually? Hummm? I guess this is again one of glittering generalities logical
errors. I cannot confirm or deny, and I am sure you cannot either, that such
is the actual case, unless you have some specific published data that would
show such a contention. I know I do not. I have also never heard in my
24 years of experience in these areas, that a Public Relations department
would be in charge or responsible for fund raising for and entire organization
of this or any other size. However it is true that some PR departments
within large organizations, would have the freedom to raise their own
funds to a limited extent...
