RE: [atlarge-discuss] VC: Thawte's WOT

@All,

The debate on the verification mechanism has been put on the table in
several opportunities, I have participated and contributed my point of view
in several occasions.

I continue sustaining that we cannot only restrict ourselves to a
verification method for several reasons, for example:
- The costs of different services can be adapted for a country but extremely
expensive being in others.
- All the systems have been questioned by some member.
- Cannot seek the utopia of personal interviews, but we can come closer
using several methods enough, a mix that is effective and practical, and
that it doesn't overload the task of the VC.

Returning to the point of costs, it is not a problem trivial, several
members they have manifested what means a cost in different countries. This
discussion also thought about for the memberships. It is not easy to
establish the quantity of money, but be which is the elected option, it will
be the one that allows to arrive to the biggest mass of members (people /
users).Neither it is reasonable to be extremist and to say that $1 are very
expensive for Tumbuktu in Africa, obvious!, but observing averages, the
costs should be paar to pursue the objective of democratizing the access to
@Large.

greetings,
Mauro.-
