Re: [ICANN-EU] ICANN hubbub

Michael,

At the present time, the American people are attempting to
restore honesty and integrity as the basis for their governance
at all levels. Some people might notice that this is not an easy
task, especially after of years of attempting to build governance
on a foundation of dishonesty. People have gotten used to leaders
who lie.

Fortunately, some of those leaders have already moved on from
the U.S. Department of Commerce, leaving ICANN in their wake.
Others will be moving on soon, as their elected terms finally end.
You might notice they now are dominating the national news in the
U.S., attempting to shape the results of the recent election, to their
satisfaction. These people do not seem to realize that most people
are fed up with their dishonesty. It is a shame that the news media
continues to show-case the liars, just as they placed USC's OJ in the
lime-light.

Let's hope that fairness and honesty returns to the U.S. and abroad to keep
the net free and continuing to "invent" new technology for all people, not
just the chosen few who dishonestly claim to invent things.

to say that the Internet would not be where it is in the United States
without the strong support given to it and related research areas by the

would not be where it is today," said Dave Farber."
