Of course, Vittorio didn't say that, and you certainly know that.
Please, Mike, don't contribute to a further poisoning of the
atmosphere between ICANN staff and the interested public.

Since this argument can be neither denied, nor confirmed, I'll
mostly ignore it.  However, let me note that Prof Froomkin certainly
does have a point when he asks you about the representation of the
"loyal opposition" on that committee.  Why is it considered to be
acceptable to have a names council member for the ccTLDs on that
committee, while it's not acceptable to have - say - one of the top
non-elected candidates there?


Anyway, most likely everyone out there knew that this kind of
criticism would come, and apparently it's considered to be
uninteresting.

Let me, finally, ask all of you to avoid any further poisoning of
the climate before the Melbourne meeting.  That's really not
necessary, and won't help _anyone_.
