Re: [icann-europe] European Root Server System



Vittorio and all,

  Vittorio, as you may know we [INEGroup] came to support what
you are advocating over a year ago now.  Although it is unfortunate
that at that time the ICANN BoD and staff could not and still do not
wish to keep the DNS and IP registry systems homogeneous yet
open is unfortunate, but leads the stakeholders/users to seek
to "split the net" as it is known in order to have free and open
competition yet maintain reasonable stability and security.
