Re: [atlarge-discuss] Resignation

Good morning, Sotiris:

I too, am saddened by Jamie's decision. From what I have read in the
lists, it is a step that I think he has taken reluctantly. However, I do
respect his decision and must assume that there is good reason for it. But,
if that is the case, it does not inspire confidence in our ability to meet
the 90 day deadline.

It is my understanding that the technical and administrative burden of
the electoral process has been generously offered by Ms. Elisabeth
Porteneuve (at Jamie's request), and accepted by our Interim Panel. Surely
all that is left for our panel to accomplish is the appropriate nomination
procedure, and candidate / electorate debate forum.

The member suggestions for tasks to be completed and election criteria
to be considered were quite prolific and, for a while, valid time lines were
debated. The lack of a response with an election policy from the leadership
is somewhat disappointing. I suspect this is the reason behind Jamie's
decision.

Vittorio, will you please advise the membership what is happening here,
and how we plan to achieve the 90 day goal?

Best regards, Ron Sherwood
