I have sent a first announcement of the elections to this list and to
the GA list on July 6 - it was kept to a manageable length to prevent
people from skipping it, and it clearly included deadlines for
nominations and voter registration:

On July 8 I have also confirmed to you and to the list that everything
should proceed according to the charter that was attached to that
message:

It seems to me that deadlines have been published and stated quite
clearly. But I will now resend the charter in a separate message so
that nobody will miss it.

And I know that there have been many discussion about some wording in
the charter... I can only say that if we want to meet very tight
deadlines we do not have so much time to spend on the charter; I am
sure that each of us would have suggestions or requests to amend some
parts of it, but we thought we should rather proceed and focus on
other issues, and this is why we basically took the last elections'
charter and changed only the necessary parts.

However, the charter is not meant to limit the freedom of action of
the next panel.

The copy is already there in the aforementioned message, and it has
been approved by the whole panel. Votes are recorded on the
atlarge-panel mailing list, which is publicly archived at
http://www.fitug.de/atlarge-panel/ . I hope that this is what you
wanted to get.

Come on, we are trying to set up an election in two weeks for an
informal group without any resources - do you really need a mailing
list for communication in a group of four persons which will last less
than one month? To make your messages public, it is enough if you copy
them to this list.
