Yes, it does, and I'm not suggesting that the Forum needs to replaced. It's very
usefull.

There are, however, other ways of managing the content of a website, and
I think that they are worth exploring, as additional tools in the toolbox.

I'm interested in providing as much information as possible to At-large
members, and to the public in general. Any tool that can help this happen,
in a timely and usefull manner, is worth looking at.
