Thus far, *nobody's* vision of the "atlarge" is "generally supported", and we're not yet entirely sure what our present purposes actually are.

This is a *BIG* handicap in deciding what should be done now and how.

So far, we are not an organization with a defined mission but a loose agglomeration of individuals with various visions of what that mission should be and how best to implement it. Once the agglomeration has become a real organization, some people may choose to leave and pursue their own visions in other ways, while those who stay will have a much better idea of what needs to be done.

For the moment, I still maintain (ornery old bat that I am) that *nothing* constructive will happen here unless we can agree on the mechanisms by which we can determine whether any given proposal has the support of the membership or not. 

I see storm-clouds gathering yet again over what individuals are entitled to do what things in what manner in pursuit of what they believe might be the right vision. If we don't sort this out -- without further delay -- I see no real future for this group at all.
