Re: [atlarge-discuss] web page

I certainly hope Joop will reconsider this position.

It is quite Ironic that Joop who has been "not" elected to any position would
tell a group of elected people how it will be in order to preserve democratic
integrity.
Secondly, things change Joop, that ALAC was not in existence to my knowledge
when I joined the membership, now it is getting by-laws approved.
As I am sure you understand we elected our panel to handle all things
internal.
What general membership voting is for is for the process of how we elect and
discharge and matters that are external, and matters that will require
referendum, which will require ratification of a constitution or by-laws.

But I tell you, you are nothing but an abstructionist snake in the grass if
you refuse a single instruction from one or the whole of our panel. They have
the authority of being duly elected and each one separately or as a group has
authority over you. You deny this and there is no point in this whole
movement.
Judyth the panel works for the group, that is called a representative
democracy, you are much brighter than to make such a statement as below. Do
you want us to vote on what the panel can say to each other? Shall we all vote
to inplace representatives to represent us within our organization or shall we
all get up each day and vote on matters. I joined a representative type group
and decided my voting matters accordingly.
I do not want to run the damn web site, I want a WG to reach consensus or vote
and then I want our panel to mandate it. In the absence of such I want our
panel to act, and in the case of a problem I will object, withdraw or revolt.

But beyond any doubt the panel has authority over the web site.

Sincerely,
Eric Dierker
