Bret,

I would not mind doing some forensics, but one needs root for that, and
preferably local access, if you can tell me where the box is, I can see
if I know someone with sufficient knowledge and time to help you out.
What I can do is take a look, but no more then that, I can not "fix" it.
At most I can see what was used, if the perpetrator was an amateur.
