[atlarge-discuss] Re: [atlarge-panel] MOTIONS for a bottom-up web structure as expressed by Wiseman/Khan

I found updated info on the NewTLD Evaluation Process here:
http://www.icann.org/committees/ntepptf/new-gtld-action-plan-18oct02.htm
(link also posted at IcannWatch)

These statements by Stuart Lynn are very interesting and require our early
attention, discussion and an input (which has been requested)

Should 3 more (probably sponsored) NewTLDs go ahead, in tandem with the as
yet not commenced New TLDs Evaluation Process?

Should a broader look be taken at the taxonomy of the DNS - and if so, who
should be determining policy on the future naming structures of the
Internet?

It is proposed that decisions will be taken at Amsterdam, so we ought to
present our views in advance, and also be ready with statements for
Amsterdam itself.
