Morning Ron,

Good question. Why does a Party Candidate want to be a member of Parliament?
Of course the building is no longer empty when there are elected representatives to fill it.

What you *want* to be a member of is a Party that shares your goals and ideals and where the members and the leadership all pull in the same direction.

Or even a shareholder in the ownership of a building
that houses real people who make real decisions and take real actions?
Should I, and the rest of our membership, not be involved in one or more of
the parties, rather than simply owning the building.
You got it.
Party formation is now in order.
Several members here have already taken steps that make them potential leaders of issue-based parties.
The first issues that have emerged are 1. whether to play ICANN's game or remain independent and 2. the perennial issue of "representative" vs. direct democracy.
