I don't accept that, nither as a choice nor as the truth!  Granted, Judyth
and Jan were thrust into this debate by Vittorio against their will, but
that is the extent of their "manipulation" by Vittorio.  They have valiantly
held onto the list, and kept it safe and secret in the face of conflicts. I
would ask that they continue to carry out the charge thrust upon them and
continue to keep the list secure until a decision can be made about the
election.

Speaking of which, I understand that Vittorio has resigned. I read words to
that effect here, but I haven't seen a message directly from him to that
effect.  But assuming that this is true, I would assume the conflict
preventing this election is now over.

I agree in part.  But I feel we should adhere to our existing rules as much
as possible. To that end, even though Jefsey and I appear to be the last
remaining panel members, I am now asking for any other Panel Members who
have not yet formally resigned to step forward *today* and join myself and
Jefsey in a call for elections.

I will be  the first to admit that the lack of bylaws is what is killing
this organization: for too long the rules have been unclear, and that lack
of clarity has brought us to this sorry place.  But we can't resolve *that*
issue until we have an executive panel that has the membership's confidence.
This one obviously does not.
So this Panel's final actions should be to move forward and hold elections
to replace ourselves.  To that end, in keeping with our current rules, such
as they are, I'm making the following panel motions:

PANEL MOTIONS:

I move that that Judyth and Jan each retain a copy of the membership list,
keep it safe and secret, and provide a copy of said list to the Panel
member(s) of their choice.  Panel member(s) chosen for said duties will be
limited to (a) those who respond to this message, and (b) those who have not
previously resigned their post.  This action will be for the express purpose
of conducting an election to emplace 11 new Panel members.

[ ] Abstain


I further move that the Panel member(s) so chosen move immidiate, without
further delays, contact the list to solicit nominations and conduct the
election.

[ ] No

[ ] Abstain


Per our existing rules, this was sent out top the Panel list.  Panel members
now have 48 hours for all Panel members wishing to to respond.  Beyond that,
we have to assume that the remaining Panel exists of thse members who
responded.
