Actually, there was no vote taken of the membership on whether
to disband the current Panel on-the-spot. Had there been, I
doubt it would have passed since we'd still need some (quasi?)
legitimate authority to organize the new elections we did want.

An election call may close Parliament but it doesn't mean the
voters are left with no structure to hold the election, and
the remaining Panelists agreed to organize ours. Meanwhile, at
least some members are voting at Joop's poll on whom they
would like to have run the process, so we should know more
soon.
