Thank you for your response.

You are correct when you say that good manners and respect may vary with
certain cultures. However, verbal abuse, public ridicule and derogatory
comments are the same in any culture.  It would be better if we were to
disregard these negative components when they are introduced to the list.
That way the purveyors of offensive commentary will perhaps learn to become
more civilized if they are to be taken seriously.

It is certainly worth trying, rather than the moderation (censorship) that
has been suggested.
