I respectfully disagree.  Although this forum was stated as an alternate
source for seconding nominations, the only official channel for *making*
niminations was a reply to the message sent out to each member.  However, in
the interests of amity, and out of fairness to confused members, we felt
compelled to accept names generated by Joop's unofficial paralell process as
well.

In the future, we would do well to specify more exactly up front which
methods of nominating and seconding candidates are official and which
aren't, and steadfastly refuse to honor inputs from unofficial sources.
