Re: [atlarge-discuss] Attn: The entity known as "Larry Fuss" - False claim?
The reality behind the mailing list is this:
We have enemies - and there is a policy to drown out this list with incoherent irrelevance.
We have been infiltrated (well that was easy enough) and the strategy is to flood the list with controversies, banalities, and anything to stall forward movement. The aim is to bore and frustrate serious players out of this project - and obviously that's a practical strategy which can (arguably) work.
The name of the game is, as I see it, to just keep going.
To identify key areas for substantive development. To set timescales. To target outcomes. To produce critical output. To create a powerful web presence.
Above all, to meet face to face.
Online, anyone can lie; anyone can pretend; and there's no touchstone.
Face to face, you start to deal with human beings as human beings. Jefsey has been making this point for ages.
In my opinion, a key to success is the start of face to face meetings in individual countries. I hope this will be possible in UK. And in France. And in US.
At the point of face to face, all the irrelevant trivia can be swept aside in the human magnanimity of meeting, and clear face to face discussions on priorities.
Trolls flourish when all you have to go on is online identities.
When the organisation develops enough to start face to face, then the *real* people and the *real* issues can be addressed.
Friends, please remember, that whatever the garbage on this list, there is also an intelligent dialogue going on, an intelligent agenda, and a mission.
Anyone coming to UK? Come and meet me! Come and meet Abel! Come and meet lots of us! Let's make a commitment to develop the face-to-face integrity of this organisation!
Yrs,
Richard Henderson
