Just to throw another one or two back into the hat, NZ and AUS have
fairly good incorporation laws also. I'm sure Joop could advise on the
NZ side of things. There are a number of Australian and NZ members I'm
sure who could assist.
At present this organisation is operating somewhat loosly as what in
Australia would be called an unincorporated association. It is not that
difficult (does cost money however) to become incorporated. The main
advantages of incorporation is protection for members and having more
recognition potential. So I suppose with the US centric model
(externally imposed) we currently have it may be beneficial to
incorporate there. On the other hand, it may be worthwhile to consider
a country that is in US favour. This would preclude most of the EU as I
understand it.
