yeah, it's sort of like the Johnson or Nixon tapes versus Congressional
debate on CSPAN. We're getting the tapes. :)

For the most part, I think a lot of us are simply frustrated with being
denied representation time and time again. Tempers often rise in the
face of frustration. Frustrations abound in organizational growing pains
as well. We're seeing that, too.

I read in the NY Times that the UN said most young democracies fail
miserably due to corruption, fundamental disagreements over
organization, racism, etc. The US Constitutional Convention only allowed
delegates inside Independence Hall and forbade them from going to the
press until the process was complete.

As a young democratic organization with a totally open process, I don't
think we're doing too badly. The long-term success of this project is
dependent on:

1) sufficient legitimate self-organization and 
2) success in lobbying ICANN or its successor for acceptable
representation.

Both [1] and [2] must be satisfied or the whole thing is shambles.
