No, I wrote only those members who had expressed interest in announcements,
in order to avoid controversy about unsolicited mail. About 77% of the

Now, apparently, you are asking Alexander, who holds absolutely no authority
save as a Watchdog, to ask Elisabeth, who holds absolutely no authority save
as as Secretariat, to email the membership without prior approval of the
Steering Committee, compounding your error.
I'm sorry you see it that way. I would think that it would be part of
Elisabeth's duty running the election to send out at least one reminder to
all voters in a week-long election during holidays.
A watchdog would be the best party to convey such a message.
As Jamie has said, if you believe in democracy, you have to accept the
results, including whatever failings may result, but as it happnes, there is
nothing to fear. We are privileged to have so many quality candidates
standing and I believe the voters will pick wisely. Have some faith in
democracy.
I have little choice. It is too late for another message now. Our
democracy is only just being bootstrapped by an interim Panel past its time
and in such a hurry that the members have little time to question their
candidates.
When democracy is still so fragile, we all have to do our level best to
ensure maximum participation.
