The disadvantage is that we make ourselves dependent on ICANN.
I have no problem with Vittorio running the election, as long as he is not 
a candidate himself.
I can run a parallel election and if both systems come up with the same 
result, that result can be trusted.
I would mean that I could not be a candidate either.

A sensible recommendation, if  the members also agree on a  procedure 
for  filling vacancies and maintaining quorum at all cost.

These are the things the members have to have a say on (ratify) before we 
can start the election.

With the help of the Booth, this can be done within a week.
