Not that I have a problem if you know this, but does it
really matter? Why is it important to know who chose
you? Just the fact that some thought that highly of
you should be enough.

Even if it was a kook...

You are able to accept or decline, and your actions as
a member of the management group will either prove or
disprove your worth. So it really doesn't matter who
picked you and who votes for you. You control your own
destiny.
