Graphic, text, hexadecimal, any binary data can be altered. So what can be
done?

Looking at what other organizations, albeit not-virtual, are doing in the
way of third-party verification, it usually comes down to personal
knowledge - and at the membership level.

Usually, one would not be nominated and second unless one has been around
and working with the organization for a while - in other words, one is
"known" to the membership/committee in question.

We seem so bent on being able to say we elected 11, why?

And why, when a call for nomination is made, we find folks with whom our
previous contact has been non-existant, "filling out" the list...

As we continue to be in a start-up-phase, perhaps we should consider a
smaller group of individuals with whom we have previously "worked."

After all...
