[ICANN-EU] RE: PLEASE TELL ME I'M WRONG. (AND WHY)

Actually, I was among the first couple of hundreds to apply for
membership. And, yes, I moved in the second half of April - more
than a month later. German Bundespost was unable to forward my
mail for about 3 weeks. I reported this problem to ICANN and was
told something like "no problem, wait another month, should't you
have got it forwarded by then, we'll resend the Pin to you." Another
2 or 3 mails went back and forth and I expected to get a new letter.
I never got one. In the mid of August, I finally got a last mail to tell
me that ICANN is unable to make changes in the database. Too
late to suggest another solution.
Shouldn't ICANN have told us that it takes more than a month to
send out the Pins and that people who are really serious about
becoming members are not allowed to move between, say end of
February and I don't know which month?
Anyway, a few minutes before the deadline another candidate gave
me his vote out of courtesy and friendship. Guess, who it was. No,
it wasn't Lutz ;-)
I am very, very grateful for all the support I've got. And I do care a
lot about the At Large Membership's future, regardless who'll finally
makes it.
