Re: [ICANN-EU] thanx for the fish & lets start the work
Hello Geza et all,
and sorry for confusing here by not making clear what the mailing
lists are thought to be good for.
Indeed, my idea is to create a wide open base for discussion on
icann issues; that is the model of news and debate (which is
adapted from my experience in even more chaotic entities).
I would strictly separate discussion on issues to the discussion
of organizatorial questions of an european at-large forum or
other stuff. I do guess we will need a more concentrate
mailing-lists for organizatorial questions; but in the very
short timeslot until the november meeting IŽd like to keep
my prioritys to discussing the issues to be adressed there.
I didnŽt wanted to override the discussions at icann-europe with
this. So please understand this as an offer for something more,
not to have a concurrency between forums or whatever.
So, yes, icann-debate@lists.ccc.de could become a "global"
forum, but for me the start is to adress not only european
at-large members but also other people whoŽd like to
participate in the discussion of the issues. I do get a lot of
mails from people who Žd like to participate in discussions,
but not so much in organizatorial questions. So I simply donŽt
want to waste the chance to give these people a place.
best regards,
Andy M.-M.
